Prospective Undergraduate Research Assistants
Status: Accepting RA applications for the current academic year.
No prior research experience is required — enthusiasm and reliability matter most. Undergraduates typically start with assisting with literature reviews for ongoing papers or basic sample processing in the lab. Undergrad RAs are expected to sign up for research credits or zero-credit (RSRC 4033) courses. Interested students should email me to learn more about undergrad RA opportunities.
Prospective Graduate Students
Status: Considering applications for Fall 2027 admission.
I typically look for applicants with some background in quantitative methods and interest in maternal and child health research. If you’re interested, apply through the Department of Sociology & Anthropology PhD program in Sociology. I encourage prospective PhD students to contact me via email beforehand with a brief note about your research interests, a statement on why you are interested in the program and my research group, and a CV.
Prospective Postdocs
Status: Not currently recruiting, but I welcome inquiries from candidates interested in applying for their own fellowship funding (e.g., NSF SPRF or NIH F32).
If you’re considering applying for external postdoctoral funding to work with the lab, reach out with a CV and a short description of the project you’d propose.
